Kelly Lynn Bolsinger

Kelly Lynn Bolsinger, 46, of Elkader passed away peacefully, Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She was surrounded by her family. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 20, 2024, from 11am – 1pm, with a Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 pm at the Elkport-Garber Community Center. Inurnment will follow at the Bolsinger Cemetery, Colesburg, Iowa. Those attending are encouraged to wear Iowa Hawkeyes apparel in honor of Kelly’s love of the Hawkeyes.

Kelly was born on March 23, 1978, in Guttenberg, Iowa, the daughter of Harvey and Debra (Harbaugh) Bolsinger. She was a 1997 graduate of Central Community High School.  Kelly loved life. She enjoyed a good party, shopping trips, music & dancing. Spending time with her family was her favorite. She admired her nieces & nephews so much, loved them fiercely & was so proud of all of them. Kelly spent her earlier years living & working at Rise in Elkader, later moving to Scenic Acers and most recently living at the Elkader Care Center. Meeting new people & making multiple friends along the way - all in which she had her favorites at. And if you were one of them you knew it. Kelly was a spit fire, never one to back down from telling you how it was but also not afraid to love you hard. She loved The Hawkeyes so much that you didn’t even have to watch a game with her to know if it was good or bad. You just had to listen to all her hootin’ and hollerin’. We’re going to miss our Kel Kel but she'll be remembered every day by her infectious smile, big bear hugs & the ability to make any bad day turn good.

Preceding her in death was her mom, Deb Bolsinger; grandparents, Grandpa George Harbaugh Sr., Grandma Lois Harbaugh, Grandma Iva and Grandpa Bill Bolsinger, and Grandpa Jerry Meyer; uncles, George Harbaugh Jr., Jim Bolsinger, Jerry Taylor, and Jacob Beeh; aunts, Mary Lou Harbaugh, Janice Taylor, Sharon Beatty, and Judy Hess; and cousins, Julie Taylor, Jason Beeh, Jamie Bolsinger, Lainie Manning, Randy Harbaugh, Logan Pritchard, and Deanna Osterloh.

Survivors include her dad, Harvey Bolsinger; step-mom, Heidi Meyer; brother Mark (Barb) Bolsinger; sisters, Holly (Pete) Purman and Joy (Adam) Meyer; grandma, Iva “Butch” Meyer; nieces & nephews, Jenna (Zach) Bennington, Brandon (Cassie), Blake, and Tucker Bolsinger, Alyssa (Nick) Sylvester, Zander Purman, Tenley, Tatum, Rowan, and Rhett Meyer; great nephews Kash and Knox; great nieces, Harper, Madison, Eleanor, and Everly; and a large loving extended family.
